Have you ever hired someone who exceeded all your expectations and did it all while giving you an unusual level of peace of mind? After 17 years of hiring people, I found my first in Pankaj Singh. There are probably over a thousand top-rated developers here on Upwork, so expertise and dedication to work weren't helping that much as a differentiator in choosing someone for this project. After 42 proposals, I immediately put an end to my due diligence quest once I spoke to Pankaj for the first time. Full disclosure: I am an intermediate PHP developer myself so I could discern the nuances in the claimed expertise of the 42 developers. Pankaj amazed me on the first call when he politely disagreed with me and suggested a better tech solution than mine.That got my attention as I thought, 'Why is he going above and beyond the norm?' He had only earned a thousand plus, and here he was practicing insubordination by disagreeing with a client who was ready to give him the job because his experience informed him there was a better way to solve my problem. A guy I had worked with prior on Upwork who had earned over a hundred thousand dollars on didn 't even care to point out the mid to long-term pitfalls my project was going to present to me if the project was executed based on what I proposed. I guess he did not point it out because it would have been easier for him to solve my problem and pocket the money, and onto the next unsuspecting client. It was not in Pankaj 's interest to tell me all that he did because his proposed solution would cost me, the client, double the intended amount and take triple the intended project time. It was great advice for the client and not for the freelancer. As it turned out, I couldn' t afford his solution financially and time - wise, but I held on to it till I could afford it as the solution was going to save me a lot of heartache in the near future.So, Pankaj lost the job because he was 'stupid' enough to give truthful and caring technical advice.Immediately I could afford it about a month later, he was the only person I called, and it was nirvana while our 40 - day project lasted. He is as good as it gets technically and professionally.Scratch that, he amazed me every time he did a git commit, or we spoke.His attention to detail is so rare.He ended up being more aware of my own project than I did.I guess I should stop here, as I am sure with all that I have written, my passion and enthusiasm for this guy flows through.Do yourself a favor and hire Pankaj for your project.Wait for him to be free to work on your project if you have to as your wait will be worth it, but before you do, I am afraid that you will have to wait in line as I am going to give him a new job on my legacy site as my site could use the Midas touch Pankaj provides.I forgot to mention that his spoken and written English is excellent.He 's also super responsive and meets deadlines. He is a consummate professional in every sense of the word.
